Moore granted parole after 31 years for Futch murder

A former Evans County resident convicted of the brutal murder of a Claxton woman in 1984 has been released on parole, after serving nearly 31 years in the Georgia prison system.
Michael Kelvin Moore, 49, who was serving a life sentence for the murder of Rebecca Hagan Futch, was granted parole on January 26 of this year. According to information posted by the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles, Moore is currently residing in Brooks County and is under the supervision of the district parole office in Valdosta.
