ER Hospitals to assume management of EMH

Evans Memorial Hospital Board formally approved a management services agreement with ER Hospitals, LLC during their monthly board meeting held Monday, December 15. ER Hospitals will assume management of EMH in January.
“We are excited to be here. We appreciate what Martha’s (Tatum) done and the effort you folks have put into this. We appreciate the trust you’ve placed in our company and we will do everything in our power to earn that trust and maintain it,” said Kirk Olsen, ERH partner.
The original management agreement was amended slightly on Monday to reflect a partnership specifically between Evans Memorial Hospital, Inc. and ERH. “We’re going to change the management services agreement to be between Evans Memorial Hospital, Inc. only. It will not have the (hospital) authority on it,” said Martha Tatum, CEO of Evans Memorial.
On January 5, ERH will assume “complete operational management … on a day-to-day and long-term basis,” the agreement reads. ERH will share services personnel between other facilities they manage and will provide a CEO and CFO for the hospital.
ERH’s responsibilities will include setting the budget, reconciling costs at the end of each quarter with a final reconciliation at the end of the fiscal year, and providing management of all outpatient and inpatient services. The company will be accountable to the hospital board and authority.
