Commissioners face discrimination suit

Shortly before their regular monthly meeting last Tuesday, the Evans County Board of Commissioners were served notice of a civil lawsuit.
According to complaint documents, plaintiff Connie Eason, a former Evans County employee who had served as a code enforcement officer from 2006 to 2012, seeks gender discrimination damages from the Evans County Board of Commissioners and commissioners Irene Burney, Jack Pinckard, Neal Hammock, and Sheila Holland individually, and in their official capacity as Evans County commissioner.
