Evans Memorial Hospital reported a positive bottom line for May of $103,872 during the monthly board meeting held on Wednesday, June 24.
"May was a good month for the hospital," said Steve King, ER Hospital partner. The hospital reported total patient revenue of $3.9 million. "I believe that's the second highest in the year so far," King said. Outpatient revenues of $2,881,192 were the highest yet for this fiscal year.
Net revenue for the hospital totaled $1,163,444 while total operating expenses were at $1,061,949 for the month. "Expenses is really where the action is ... expenses are $217,000 less on the month versus May of 2014," King reported.
Year-to-date net revenue is $8.14 million, four percent higher than last fiscal year. Year-to-date operational expenses are 10 percent less than last year's expenses at this time.
Total available cash on hand for the hospital is approximately $1.2 million.
