Mobile home fire displaces family with three children

From staff reports

Evans County Fire Dept. responded to their first structure fire early Monday morning since becoming an operational department on July 1.
The Johnson Street fire displaced a family of three adults and three children - a two-month-old baby, eight-year-old and nine-year-old. Evans County’s local American Red Cross volunteers responded to the fire as well and are currently providing aid for the family.
The call for a mobile home fire on Johnson Street came in at 1:37 a.m. Monday, and the first pumper truck was on scene by 1:44 a.m. ECFD Fire Chief Andy Sikes says 22 out of 30 volunteer firefighters responded to the call.
