Ella Quida Tucker
----JElla Quida Tucker, 81, passed away May 3 at Evans Memorial Hospital. The Bulloch County native lived most of her life in Evans County. She was of Methodist faith.
----JShe was preceded in death by her husband, Elwyn Tucker Sr.; her son, Junior Tucker; daughters, Linda T. Hallman, Ellen Strickland; grandson, Shane Evans.
----JSurviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Ray Snellgrove of Claxton; a daughter-in-law, Denise Tucker of Claxton; a son-in-law, Theron Hallman of Glennville; one half sister, Kathaleen Costa of Connecticut; one half brother, Bobby Kerby of Colorado; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
----JFuneral services were held 11 a.m. Monday, May 5 at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Hagan officiating. Burial was in Ephesus Church Cemetery.
----JPallbearers were Scott Snellgrove, Derek Hallman, Jason Tucker, Danny, Charles and Jerry Kerby.
----JMellie NeSmith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Charlie Michael Johnson Jr.
----JCharlie Michael Little Mike Johnson Jr., 46, passed away Sunday, May 4 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro. Michael was born February 15, 1962. He was a naive of Evans County and graduated from Claxton High School in 1980. He was employed with Valmont-Newmark for 22 years.
----JMichael enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin. He will be dearly missed by all of his friends and family.
----JMichael was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Michael Johnson Sr.
----JSurviving are his mother, Donna Johnson of Claxton; sisters, Debbie Anderson of Claxton and Angel Malcom of Anchorage, Alaska; nieces, KayLeigh Anderson of Claxton and Kate Malcom of Anchorage, Alaska, and nephew, Eli Malcom of Anchorage, Alaska.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 7 , 2 p.m. at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home with the Rev. David Hagan officiating. Burial was in Brewton Cemetery in Hagan.
----JPallbearers were Warnell Big Brewton, Dan Conner, Trey Flanigan, Stanley Mincey, Mike Smith and Joey Todd.
----JMellie NeSmith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
