| normal, stable intellectual growth and development. PCAs students have consistently scored well above state and national averages on such tests as the Iowa Test of Basic Skills, PSAT and SAT. The school curriculum is primarily college preparatory, with emphasis on English, Match, Science, Social Studies and Foreign Language. Special recognition is given through the National Honor Soceity, National Merit Scholarship Porgram, Governors Honors, University of Georgia Merit Awards, Georgia Tech Math and Science Scholar Awards, Duke University Talent Identification and many other such programs. PCAs literary program has taken region and state honors in recent years. Most importantly, chapel services are held weekly for students in grades K-12. Current statistics indicate that 75% of PCAs graduates go onto enroll in college, while the remianing 25% enroll in either technical or specialty schools. PCA students have competed successfully for thousands of dollars in scholarships, both academic and athletic. Counted among our graduates are those who now engage in law, medicine, law enforcement, the ministry, education, pharmacy, engineering and many other professions. Schools and colleges which our graduates have attended include Emory University, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, Mercer, the University of Georgia, and Georgia Southern University. |

A strong athletic program is an integral part of the total school program. Physical Education instruction is offered in grades K-12. Individual students are given the opportunity to learn the basics of a variety of sports and are encouraged to participate individually and on a group level. PCA competes interscholastically in football, boys and girls basketball, tennis, baseball, track and golf. In recent years the school has earned region championships in football, baseball and tennis while having numerous region and state champions in track. PCAs philosophy embraces the concept of education as meangingful preparation for life. Accordingly, a great deal of care was taken in |
