This photo (circa. 1960) of the Auctioneer's Booth was taken inside SHUMAN STOCKYARD in Hagan. Pictured (l to r): Brown Childs, auctioneer; H. G. Shuman; Eunice Shuman; Shorty Strickland; Robert R. Tippins; and (unidentified). The auctioneer's booth faces the "ring" where livestock were brought in to be auctioned. Beyond the auctioneer's booth and ring (not pictured) was the gallery . . . a stepped row of bleachers where buyers and interested onlookers could either bid on livestock or just view the auction proceedings.
