Most officials sworn to serve in a number of county offices at the beginning of 2025 were incumbents with only a few having survived challenges from political rivals.
Such has been the trend in Evans County for a number of years. In fact, lack of interest in local governmental service has been a factor in canceling elections in some municipalities due to the absence of candidates.
