A tractor trailer truck carrying an oversize load of road equipment collided with a dump long-bed dump truck on Hwy. 301 north on Friday, September 14, near the airport.
All four lanes of Hwy. 301 were blocked for approximately three hours. Traffic was rerouted until the scene was cleared.
Removal of the wreckage required several tow trucks including one able to lift the 100,00 pound piece of road equipment that was on the trailer that overturned.
Both drivers reported no injuries.
Georgia State Patrol accident report was not available at press time on Tuesday.
