The Bicycle Ride Across Georgia (BRAG) will be traveling through Claxton and Evans County Friday, June 7. While the 1,000 registered cyclists will arrive between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., the majority are expected between 10 a.m. and noon. The Claxton-Evans County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a rest stop at the Veterans Community Center. Please remember to share the road. Please use caution and share the road.
BRAG is a not-for-profit dedicated to providing affordable, quality bicycle tours in and across the state of Georgia. Now in its 40th year, BRAG is the second oldest across-state bicycle tour in the world and attracts riders from all around the globe.
During Big BRAG 2019, cyclists will average about 55 miles per day for a week with a day off in the middle. Cyclists will depart from Ellijay on June 1 and will complete the route in Darien on June 8.
