Brutal beating, shootings, crimes and storms keep local law enforcement busy

For the past two weeks, officers from the Claxton Police Department (CPD) and Evans County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO) have been working diligently together on a rash of violence and crime in Claxton and Evans County. According to CPD Chief Dale Kirkland and Lieutenant-Investigator Chris Moser, a timeline of events is provided below.
