Claxton approves first reading of mask mandate

As previously reported, Claxton Mayor Terry Branch and City Council members are considering an ordinance mandating the use of masks or face coverings in public during the COVID-19 outbreak. With all members present during its meeting held Thursday night, the first reading of the ordinance was passed with council members Scott Lynn, Dean Cameron and Risher Willard voting against the measure.
