Crystal Hollingsworth, 59, passed away, surrounded by loved ones, on April 26, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia after a short battle with lung cancer. She was the wife of Tony Hollingsworth, with whom she shared almost 27 years of marriage. She was a Long County High School graduate, class of 1982. She was raised in Ludowici, but spent many of her adult years in Bellville. Crystal was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and Nana. She had worked in sales at Claxton Poultry for over 25 years. She enjoyed taking road trips, hosting Halloween parties, and spending time with all her family. She will be remembered for her sense of style and humor, the way she mispronounced certain words, and how she cared so deeply for her loved ones. She is preceded in death by her father, Dan Bland; and brother, Stanley Leland Bland. She is survived by her husband, Tony Hollingsworth; daughters, Nicole (Michael) Hendrix of Claxton, Brittany (Russ) Hutcheson of Glennville, Brittany (Sean) Lynn of Vidalia; son, Derek (Alyssa) Hollingsworth of Bellville; mother, Charlotte (Andy) Miles; sisters, Cindy (Jimmy) Walker of Glennville, Dannette (Tommy) Holland of Ludowici; niece, Danielle (Jason) Dubberly; nephews, Tyler (Taylor) Walker, Blake and Brooks Holland; her eight grandchildren and great-nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, April 29, 5:00 p.m. at Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 30, 11:00 a.m. at Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Emmaus Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tyler Walker, Blake Holland, Camden Poole, Joshua May, Carroll Hendrix, and Chris Moser. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
