Erney Bell, 67, passed away March 11 at Glenvue Nursing Home. He was a native and lifelong resident of Evans County. Erney was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Fellowship Class, the Methodist Men’s Club and Wildlife Club. He worked for CSX Railroad from 1969-1979, and loved farming in the family business, Bell Farms. Erney was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Winton Bell. Surviving are his son, Stephen (Amanda) Bell of Bellville; his daughter, Amanda Lynn Bell of S.C.; two brothers, Gary (Leigh) Bell and Danny (Tena) Bell, all of Bellville; two grandchildren, Brayden and Gabriel Bell; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 13, from 5-7 p.m. at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 14, at 11 a.m. at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Huling and Rev. Mike Lyons, officiating. Pallbearers will be Richard DeLoach, Larry Morgan, Daniel Bell, David Oliver, Reggie Wilbanks and Bill Pryor. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the 1968 class of Claxton High School. Burial will be in Brewton Cemetery, Hagan. Remembrances may be sent to Brewton Cemetery Fund, P.O.
