Evans County has been named a “Broadband Ready Community,” County Administrator Casey Burkhalter announced during the January 7 Board of Commissioners (BOC) meeting.
Burkhalter shared with commissioners a letter from Deana Perry, Executive Director of Broadband with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, which reads (in part), “Evans County has been designated as a Broadband Ready Community! Evans County is one of the first of three counties to earn this distinct designation. We thank you for your leadership in prioritizing broadband services by demonstrating expansion readiness.”
