Hagan to get second Verizon communications tower; space for two to provide $24,000 per year for City

Hagan will soon be getting a second Verizon communications tower, this one on a small tract of land near the Evans County Wildlife Club off Cedar Avenue. Plant Operator Andy Sikes reported to the Mayor and Council at their last meeting that Verizon had contacted him and said the company needed a spot of land in the city to provide a larger ‘footprint’ for cellphone service.
