Pamela Jackson, 51, passed away at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. She lived most of her life in Evans County and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She worked at Shoney’s for 17 years, Best Friends Animal Hospital for nine years and Cracker Barrel for several years. Pam enjoyed spending time with her animals, especially her Cocker Spaniels. She loved taking them on walks, especially at local state parks. She was preceded in death by her mother, Estelle Jackson. Surviving are her fiancé of 31 years, Marty Boyette of Claxton; father, Leon (Zelta) Jackson; brother, Leon Jackson, Jr. of Garfield; sister, Sandy Sapp of Statesboro; one niece, Cody; two nephews, Nick and Spencer. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 27, from 9-11 a.m. at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 27, at 11 a.m. at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marty Walker officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick and Jimmy Walker, Lonnie and Roger Boyette, Nick Dyches and Benjie Kennedy. Remembrances may be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, 200 Donehoo St., Statesboro, Ga. 30458.
