Thieves continue to find automobile doors unlocked; Chief says subjects looking for guns, money

Despite appeals to the public to be sure that vehicles are locked and valuables secured, Claxton Police Chief Dale Kirkland said Monday that thieves continue to plunder unlocked automobiles in the city.

In a recent itemization of incident reports provided by the CPD, six incidents involving entering an automobile or other motor vehicle were recorded in the city on Nov. 14.
